Game of Thrones Star Lena Headey Spoofs Beauty Tutorials

As millions are stuck at home in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, beauty tip videos are popping up left and right from celebrities, influencers, and those seeking their 15 minutes of fame. Game of Thrones star Lena Headey has joined the party, only her tips are not exactly what one might expect from the former Cersei Lannister.

Lena Headey Lifts Spirits

In an Instagram video she posted today, Headey mocks the beauty-tip craze with two somewhat unique beauty ideas while in “lockdown.” Decked out in a tank top with the phrase “Love Yourself” on it, she starts by welcoming those who have joined her—especially people who may have missed her (non-existent) 7 a.m. beauty tutorial.

Her first tip requires a pint of Flora margarine and a kitchen tool, with Headey choosing a spatula for her beauty routine. “You scoop it out, put It on the face and rub it in and leave on all day and get a lovely sheen,” she shares, adding it provides a glow as if you’ve been outside.

For those having hair issues, and can’t get ahold of a hairbrush, not to worry. Headey says simply take a brush from the dustpan and demonstrates how to properly brush one’s hair using this household item. Voila…another piece of perfect beauty advice from the Queen.

Longtime followers know Headey is not the vain type. Last year, when she posted a video of herself on a plane sans makeup, and a “troll” tried to shame her for not wearing any, Headey called the guy out with a caption that read: “I shall continue to not wear make up. Go f *&k your self.”

While Cersei may not approve, another of Headey’s beloved characters, Sarah Connor from the Sarah Connor Chronicles, most certainly would. And in times like these, wouldn’t a hero like that be welcome?
