It looks like Denise Richards is joining the ranks of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who appear on soaps. The former Bond Girl is joining The Bold and the Beautiful in a contract role.
And because of that, we’re going to learn more about a new character, since Charlie Sheen’s ex has been cast to play her mom!
People reports that Denise Richards is joining the show as Shauna Fulton, the mother of Flo (Katrina Bowden).
“Shauna is a fun-loving, hard-working single mother from Las Vegas who aspires to live life to its absolute fullest,” Brad Bell, B&B’s executive producer/head writer tells the magazine.
Watch for Shauna as she comes to Los Angeles after learning Flo is in a messy situation. But there’s more to her arrival as Shauna’s past and secrets come to life. Of course, it’s hardly your run-of-the-mill messy situation — Flo is embroiled in a baby switch!
Her participation has helped Wayne Brady’s character, Dr. Reese Buckingham, pull off the scam of the century. It should be interesting to see how her mother reacts — and if Flo confides anything in her about it.
In addition to her turn as “Bond girl” Dr. Christmas Jones in the film The World Is Not Enough with Pierce Brosnan, Richards credits include Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, and the upcoming Paper Empire.
And, of course, she’s been on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the last several years. She joins Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie, Days of Our Lives), Erika Girardi (Farrah, The Young and the Restless), and former castmember Eileen Davidson (ex-Ashley, YR) in the soap crossover club.
Richards starts taping Friday, February 22. Her first airdate is Wednesday, April 3.
