Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky tried to find her forever person on television, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out.
Despite being on The Bachelor and then landing the opportunity of a lifetime to become The Bachelorette, the mother of two felt a lot of pressure being on TV.
“The pressure of the show is hard. You’re set up for failure. You really are. The people that make it are lucky,” she told Life & Style.
“If I put you in a room with 25 guys or girls, and said, ‘You’re going to marry one of these people.’ What are the chances of that? Not good, right?
“I always say, the Bachelor or the Bachelorette should have a say in the 25 contestants.”
And, though Ali did tell producers the kind of guy she was looking for, not all of her contestants fit the bill.
“I told the producers I was looking for somebody quirky, witty, and smart. I described a guy that likes computers and wears Converse, very generic, but there was one guy like that on my season,” she said.

“Maybe a handful out of the 25 [guys or girls] are picked for you, the others are picked for TV.”
Despite it not working out with her ex-fiancé, Roberto Martinez, Ali has since found love and married husband Kevin Manno.
“We are just a really solid couple, honestly. He’s my best friend and we tell each other absolutely everything. He is awesome. I married the best person I know.”
Since she’s had some time away from the show, Ali is now able to watch and enjoy The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as pure entertainment.
“I love the show. I am always going to watch it and I think everybody should watch it. It’s the best,” she shared.
