Former Bachelor Star Bekah Martinez Wasn’t Excited About Her Pregnancy

Former Bachelor contestant, Bekah Martinez, revealed to fans that she’s expecting her first child a few weeks ago, but the reality star is now opening up about the surprise pregnancy in a new video.

Though the 23-year-old is excited to have a child with her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, the couple was not trying to have a baby. In fact, Bekah didn’t necessarily jump up and down when she received the news.

“This wasn’t in the plan, so it wasn’t right away like a, ‘Oh my God, yes! This is so exciting, we’re going to have a baby!’ It was like, ‘Oh, wow,’” she said in a YouTube video that she posted on Tuesday, September 25.

Bekah and her boyfriend have been together for just about seven months and she is due January 29. While she explains that their method of birth control failed, she is now very excited to be welcoming a baby in a few months.

“I feel really healthy and alive and I feel really dynamic and excited about everything,” she expressed.

Despite opening up about the pregnancy news with Bachelor Nation, don’t expect Bekah to reveal the sex of her baby. “We’re not going to know until I push that little sucker out! You only have a surprise like this once in your life,” she shared.

Bekah first opened up about her pregnancy news in an interview with PureWow. “I’ve just come to such a point of accepting it and embracing it and being excited and telling people and all that. But I was just in such a state of shock when I found out,” she shared.

“It’s the one thing that I’ve known with certainty for so long. I’ve gone back and forth on the idea of marriage and relationships, but I’ve always felt sure that I want to be a mom.”
