Former Bachelor star Sean Lowe found his wife on the hit reality show a few years ago, so he has some words of wisdom for new star Colton Underwood.
While Sean wasn’t a virgin when he was on the show, he does know a thing or two about waiting to have sex before marriage.
The father of two opened up to Us Weekly about Colton’s virginity being a topic of discussion this season.
“Hang in there! I know he’s going to get peppered with the virgin Bachelor stuff. It’s not always easy,” Sean said on Friday, December 14.
“When that’s the only thing people want to focus on sometimes it gets a bit frustrating because you think, ‘I’ve got a lot more to offer than just what you want to talk about.’”
In fact, the 35-year-old believes the virginity storyline has been overplayed in the past few months.
“Definitely, it’s overkill without question,” Sean explained.
“I mean, he seems to be playing along with it and I guess it’s all in good fun but it seems like it’s all a bit much.”
Meanwhile, Sean has been happily married to his wife Catherine Giudici since 2014 and the pair have two gorgeous sons, Samuel and Isaiah.
Though they seem to have the perfect relationship and family, Sean promises their love takes work just like everybody else’s.
“Love takes work right?” he said.
“You can only live in the fairytale for so long and sooner or later real life sets in and you’re going to have your ups and downs so you’ve got to commit to loving the other person through good times and bad times.”
Well, we think you two are still couple goals, Sean!
