Good news, Stranger Things fans, the Season 3 premiere is just one week away! Netflix’s hit show is finally coming back after a long hiatus, and we can’t wait to be reunited with our favorite characters, including Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp.
From how he got into acting to his major first professional role ever, here are five fast facts you need to know about Stranger Things star, Noah Schnapp!
In the Beginning
Schnapp was born in Scarsdale, New York and he has a twin sister named Chloe. Though he was raised in New York, his family is from Montreal, which means Schnapp has Canadian citizenship.
Broadway Inspiration
Schnapp first became interested in acting when he was just 5 years old. He was fascinated when he saw the Broadway production of Annie. He then started acting in school plays and even enrolled in an acting program.
Working For A Legend
Schnapp’s first professional role was in Steven Spielberg’s movie — Bridge of Spies. Working for the legendary director is something most actors wait a lifetime to accomplish and still sometimes don’t. Schnapp played Roger Donovan, and the movie came out back in 2015.
TV Switch
Schnapp’s first television role was playing Will Byers on the first season of Stranger Things. Though he wasn’t in many of the episodes in Season 1, he was promoted to a series regular in Season 2.
Music Video Star
Along with acting in movies and television, Schnapp has also been in a couple of music videos. He was in Panic! at the Disco’s music video in 2016 for their song “LA Devotee” and Drake’s music video for “In My Feelings” in 2018.
