Though many couples on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette eventually break up, Ashley Hebert is one of the few who’s made her relationship last. She and her husband, J.P. Rosenbaum, met and fell in love while she was The Bachelorette back in 2011.
After eight years together and two kids, it’s safe to say they’ve been through a lot! From her reality star sister to how she got her son’s name, here are five fast facts you need to know about former The Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert.
Sister Act
Believe it or not, Hebert’s sister is also a reality star herself. In fact, Chrystie Hebert-Corns has been featured on the show Extreme Couponing, the show where people save up to thousands of dollars on groceries thanks to cutting coupons. Hebert-Corns has also created a coupon website to help others save money.
Open Wide
Prior to going on The Bachelor and then becoming The Bachelorette, Hebert was in school to become a dentist! She originally graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in biology, and she was enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine before appearing on TV.
Dance It Out
Along with being very smart, Hebert also loves to dance. She danced while growing up and even taught dance classes. She specialized in jazz, ballet, and hip-hop at her college. It’s surprising she never went on Dancing With the Stars, considering her love for performing — but it’s never too late.
What’s In A Name?
Hebert and her husband, J.P. Rosenbaum, welcomed their son Fordham “Ford” Rhys in September 2014. They ended up getting the idea to name their son Fordham after they drove by Fordham University in New York City and it just stuck.
The Power of Social Media
After daughter Essex arrived in 2016, Hebert shared photos to Instagram. Fans noticed something wrong and urged Hebert to get her checked for torticollis, which is when the neck is twisted and causes the head to tilt. Because of her fans’ encouragement, Hebert found out her daughter did have torticollis and was able to get it fixed.
