Five Fast Facts on Dancing With The Stars Pro Witney Carson

Witney Carson has been a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars since Season 18, which aired back in 2014. Since her first season, Carson has gone on to win the coveted Mirrorball trophy one time, but she’s come close a few other times.

From her sweet marriage to her scare with cancer, here are five fast facts you have to know about Witney Carson!

High School Sweethearts
Carson married her high school sweetheart, Carson McAllister, back in 2016 after dating for a few years. They travel the world together, and McAllister often joins Carson when she’s on tour with Dancing With the Stars.

Childhood Besties
Believe it or not, Carson actually grew up with fellow Dancing With the Stars pros Lindsay Arnold and Jenna Johnson. The three grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah together and all had dreams of being on the show together.

Cancer Survivor
Carson has been very open about her skin cancer diagnosis, which came when she was a teenager. She found a mole on her foot, which turned out to be cancerous, and was able to have it removed before she would’ve needed chemotherapy.

Reality Competitor
Before she became a pro on Dancing With the Stars, Carson was actually a competitor on So You Think You Can Dance. She was on Season 9 of the show and made it all the way to top 6 before she was eliminated.

Emmy Nominated
Carson is not only a phenomenal performer, but she is also a great choreographer! In fact, she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography thanks to a dance she created for herself and her partner, Alfonso Ribeiro.
