Woodley was cast in The Secret Life of the American Teenager back in 2008, but she decided to keep her part-time job at American Apparel. In fact, she kept her side job until she was cast in her first feature movie.
Woodley auditioned for the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games movies, but she lost the part to future Academy Award winner for Lead Actress, Jennifer Lawrence.

Woodley was cast as Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and shot the film, but unfortunately, all of her scenes were cut out of the final movie.
