Allison Miller is currently starring as the tough and stubborn Maggie Bloom on ABC’s new breakout drama, A Million Little Things. While Miller has been acting for quite some time, this is definitely her biggest role to date.
From the surprising place she was born to her first big movie (which may surprise you), here are five fast facts about Allison Miller!
Italian Born
Believe it or not, Miller was actually born in Rome, Italy! Her American parents moved the family around a lot while Miller was growing up, so she spent time in Kentucky and Florida.
Reality Star
Miller began her acting career while still living in Florida and began doing theater. Then in 2004, she was one of eight actresses chosen as finalists to play Laurie in the reality show, In Search of the New Partridge Family — a role that was played by Susan Dey on the scripted TV series.
First Big Movie
Though she had done a few guest-starring roles in television shows, Miller’s first big movie was 17 Again, which co-starred Zac Efron and Matthew Perry. She played the younger version of Leslie Mann’s character, Scarlet.
One Show to the Next
Miller was a part of Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why as Sonya Struhl, a young attorney. Thankfully, she was only on the show for one season — otherwise, she wouldn’t have been available to be cast as Maggie in A Million Little Things!
Getting Personal
Miller got married to comedian and actor Adam Nee in 2012, but unfortunately, they decided to split back in January of this year.
