Fans Slam Bachelor Colton Underwood After Comments

Former Bachelor star Colton Underwood left a lot of women upset following what some consider insensitive comments he made while appearing on the LadyGang show.

The reality star was a guest on the E! series on Sunday, March 31, and the hosts — Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin, and Jac Vanek — and for some reason, he weighed in about women’s menstruation, discussing the difference between cute underwear and period underwear.

The football player seemed confused by the difference and didn’t understand why women keep underwear they wear during that time of the month.

“You keep ‘em around? Buy new underwear! Throw them away. I, as a husband and a boyfriend, will go buy you new underwear. That is so gross! So if you s—t your pants, are you gonna just wash them? No, you’re throwing them away,” the 27-year-old said.

Needless to say, many fans took to Twitter to express disappoint in Underwood’s lack of knowledge when it comes to menstruation and how a woman handles it.

“If my husband had talked about my period about being ‘disgusting,’ like @colton, before we got married I would’ve reconsidered (unless we were in Elementary school at the time), it is not ok to [make] us feel embarrassed about how WE choose to handle OUR menstruation,” one person wrote.

“I’m sorry, but you talking about women’s periods is disgusting.. my husband goes to the store to buy me tampons because he’s not an embarrassed 12 year old,” another person said.

“Why is anyone surprised @colton is grossed out by periods? He is an actual man-child,” somebody else wrote, while one other user said, “@colton did you throw out every jersey you ever bled on in football?”
