Empire Sneak Peek Video: Lucious Confronts Cookie About Coming Back

Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) is ready to let loose and have some fun in this final season of Empire, but the fun can only last so long when one is dealing with Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard).

In this promo video for next week’s all-new episode, Cookie updates her sisters, Carol (Vivica A. Fox) and Candace (Tasha Smith), on where she and her on-again/off-again husband currently stand. “I finally left Lucious,” she says in the clip. “That does deserve a little celebration.”

To that end, Cookie’s sisters take her out for a night of drinking and dancing. “We are here to have fun, relax, and get your mind off of all that drama.”

Of course, all the fun ends when Lucious shows up unannounced to her hotel room. “It’s been two weeks. Are you coming home or not?” he yells at her.

Meanwhile, Henson took to Instagram to share a clip from last night’s episode in which Cookie revealed she’s going to therapy for her issues. “But sis you dumped Lucious’s clothes all over Empire. I’m not too sure the therapy is working,” Candace says.

Cookie Tries To Do What’s Right For Her

“It is called setting healthy boundaries, OK?” Cookie shares before Carol adds, “I’m not so sure that’s what your therapist meant. You need to take time for yourself, stop working so hard and get out of that vicious cycle with Lucious.”
