Despite their differences, Cookie Lyon and Lucious Lyon always try to be on the same page for their family. But, that wasn’t always the case on Empire, especially back in Season 1.

In this flashback video, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) tries to convince Lucious (Terrence Howard) to launch both Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) and Jamal’s (Jussie Smollett) careers at the same time.
