Ellen Pompeo has nothing but love for her former Grey’s Anatomy partner in crime, Sandra Oh. The current Killing Eve star was listed on Time’s 100 Most Influential People on Wednesday, April 17.
Shonda Rhimes, who created Grey’s Anatomy, wrote a touching letter in honor of Oh for the magazine and Pompeo gave her pal a sweet shoutout on Instagram.
“ITS ABOUT TIME. @iamsandraohinsta is celebrated for the epic talent she is!! Cannot wait to read @shondarhimes love letter to her. Two women who have made such a difference in lives of women in this business who felt unseen.
“However incredibly talented they both are…their impact on this business has been immeasurable. Congratulations Sandra,” Pompeo captioned the picture.
Rhimes also shared the exciting news on her Instagram page and revealed that the first time she was ever featured, Oh wrote an essay about her!
“The first time I was in the #TIME100, @iamsandraohinsta wrote my tribute. Now, I could not be more proud to write a tribute to her. Sandra’s forever influential to me and so many,” she wrote.
Not only is Oh featured in the magazine, but she is also one of six people to grace the cover! Oh, along with actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, singer Taylor Swift, journalist Gayle King, soccer star Mohamed Salah, and politician Nancy Pelosi.
Oh was on Grey’s Anatomy for 10 seasons, but decided to leave the show in 2014. She is now the star of the hit BBC America show Killing Eve and has even won a Golden Globe for her role.
