Ellen, Other Celebs Smash Harvey Relief Fund Goals With Massive Donations!

J.J. Watt’s charity relief fund for Hurricane Harvey received a big boost from two huge celebrities, and thanks to these generous donations, the fund has surpassed $10 million.

Both Ellen and Miley Cyrus helped push the amount given to over the $10 million mark. Ellen personally donated $50,000 and she presented Watt a check for $1 million from WalMart.

Meanwhile, Cyrus put in $500,000 of her own money to help with the disaster relief efforts, which will take a long time and cost billions ultimately.

Watts promised that the donations to his fund would be used for helping the victims recover who right now specifically need water — the most basic survival tool.

For those in Houston and the region, this fund will help recover after the nearly week-long devastation of Harvey. So far, the complete toll of this terrible storm isn’t even known as death tolls rise as rescuers are finally able to reach areas that were previously under water.
