Might Dynasty follow in the tradition of another show on The CW – The Flash – and do a musical episode? It’s possible! According to the show’s producers, the cast of Dynasty is filled with some talented singers.
Elizabeth Gilles, who plays Fallon, starred on Broadway at the age of 15 in the musical 13. Cast members and producers from the show report that the actress will break out into song in between takes.
“She never stops,” says Sam Adegoke, who plays Jeff Colby. “Liz has an amazing voice.”
“She never stops singing,” concurs Josh Schwartz, executive producer. “I think we went through the entire [soundtrack of] Little Shop of Horrors over the pilot.”
“I was everyone,” Gilles confirms. “I was the plant. I covered all of the bases. I get [shushed] a lot on set.
“We have a couple of really musical people in our cast. I don’t want to speak out of turn but hopefully, one day, you will see these musical talents manifest themselves in some sort of an episode [of Dynasty] maybe. That’s my dream. I don’t know if it will happen.”
“Do the Carringtons become the Partridge Family?” asks Schwartz. “Is that what we are talking about?”
Gilles says that if the Carrington clan breaking out into song is unrealistic, perhaps it could be done if one of them is having a fantasy. “Or someone has a fever dream,” she suggests.
Anything’s possible. Executive producer Sallie Patrick quips that the grand piano in the Carrington mansion was put there because of the show’s talented musical cast.
Dynasty airs on The CW on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
