Why Daario NEEDS To Return To Game of Thrones Final Season

Needless to say, Game of Thrones over the last eight seasons has accumulated a huge cast of characters (and the books by George R.R. Martin even more), but there is one guy we miss seeing — and he’s Daario Naharis. Left behind to care for Meereen by Daenerys seemed necessary at the time — but is it still?

This is a war for humanity that they are facing against the White Walkers. Wouldn’t it seem appropriate to call the best warriors from around the seven kingdoms to come north to join the fight? And if you’re making a list of the best warriors, Daario (Michiel Huisman) would have to be at the top.

So he has a little crush on the Mother of Dragons, so what? He’s a ruthless, skilled killer who can wield a sword like few others. And let’s just say, the guy is connected, after all. He is commander of the Second Sons, a group that’s made up of hundreds of mounted mercenaries.

Surely those guys could come in handy at a time like this! Peace in Meereen, Yunkai, and Astapor hardly seems to matter when the very existence of humankind is at stake! Daario and his men need to hightail it to Westeros and make their way to the North to join Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Dany (Emilia Clarke).

Yeah, it may get a little awkward, what with her bedding her nephew and all but it’s not like he didn’t know she had to find another man — so what if he’s her kin? Considering Cersei (Lena Headey) knowingly had children with her twin brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), this relationship is rather tame by Game of Thrones standards.

While it is unknown at this time if Daario will be around to make an appearance or not this season, it could certainly liven things up if he did. After all, Jon Snow always does seem to rise to the occasion when he’s competing against someone. Stay tuned to find out!
