Catherine Lowe Opens Up About Comparisons Between Her Husband & Bachelor Colton Underwood

Bachelor star Colton Underwood’s virginity is all anybody can seem to talk about these days, which is why he’s naturally being compared to former leading man Sean Lowe.

Though Sean wasn’t a virgin when he was a Bachelor, he decided to stop having sex in his early twenties because of his faith. He wanted to wait until he was married to have it again.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sean’s wife Catherine Lowe opens up about her husband’s decision to wait and how he compares to Colton.

“I think it’s kind of silly if you don’t see that there’s a blonde beefcake that is nice and foxy and wholesome,” she explained.

“I think it’s a great parallel, and Sean has found his future, and so we really hope the same thing for Colton.”

And while it seems like everybody and their mother knows about Colton’s sex life, Catherine revealed she didn’t know about Sean’s decision during her season.

“I mean, I knew that his values were really important to him the whole season. It just didn’t come up because it wasn’t important to me,” she explained.

“So I’m surprised as to why it’s such a huge point for Colton, and I really hope they start to focus on his other good qualities.”

Though the show has been joking about the 26-year-old’s virginity in posters, Catherine hopes he doesn’t take it personally and just focuses on the relationships.

“I think they think it’s in jest and it’s silly and it’s fun, and I hope that Colton sees it that way too, because it really doesn’t matter to anybody but how Colton and his family, how they’re showing it off,” she said.

“I really do hope that [on the show], they focus on his charitable aspect, and that he is an athlete and he is family-centered, because those are just as important, if not more.”
