Connie Britton was one of Nashville’s main characters before being killed in a car crash this past season. So is the actress who played her, Rayna Jaymes, doing now.
For starters, Britton moved to a new home in Los Angeles. The 4,100-square-foot, Paul Williams-designed Mediterranean villa is in the elite Los Feliz Hills and cost a whopping $3.1 million. And yes, there is a swimming pool on the premises.
Britton, who The Real Deal reports has other homes in Hollywood’s Beachwood Canyon, Texas, Tennessee, and New York, is also moving on to a new role. She recently spoke with the ladies of The Talk about her newest project.
Next year, Britton says she will star with Angela Bassett and Peter Krause in a Ryan Murphy drama called 9-1-1. The Fox series about first responders will feature the Nashville star as a 9-1-1 operator.
While on The Talk, the leading actress commented on the sexual harassment discussion going on in our nation today, admitting, “Me too.”
She added, “I think it’s amazing that these stories are coming out now. This has been happening for centuries. I don’t think it’s just a cultural problem. I think it’s a species problem.”
The seasoned thespian continued, “…to be having this conversation here now is, I think, at least a beginning for both men and women to look at how we relate to each other.”
