Though the ladies on Big Little Lies are a united front in Season 2, they weren’t so close back in Season 1. In fact, Madeline and Celeste (Nicole Kidman) did not get along with Renata, especially after Renata accused Ziggy of choking her daughter, Amabella.

In the video, Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) thanks Renata (Laura Dern) for inviting Chloe to her daughter’s birthday party but says she won’t go unless Ziggy gets invited.
