Season 2 of Big Little Lies has already been full of surprises, including the arrival of the now deceased Perry Wright’s mother, Mary Louise Wright (Meryl Streep). Mary Louise has arrived in Monterey to help raise her grandchildren but to also get answers about her son’s death.
In the video above, Mary Louise explains to her grandkids and her daughter-in-law, Celeste (Nicole Kidman), why she’s so upset about losing her son.
“I feel so angry that, you know, their mediocre, second-rate, pudgy, balding, middle management sons are still alive, and my Perry…my Perry…” she says, trailing off in the clip.
