Is Ben Higgins Dissing Hannah Before She Even Starts The Bachelorette?

Ben Higgins may be one of the most beloved Bachelors of all time, but that doesn’t mean he thinks every contestant is right for the leading role. In fact, the 30-year-old is definitely hesitant when it comes to Hannah Brown being the current Bachelorette, though he is warming up to the idea.

However, while talking with Us Weekly, the Denver native revealed why he feels Brown is not prepared for the upcoming season, even though she was just on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor.

“This is a little intimidating for her. It’s a little scary, it’s a little wild and she isn’t prepped for it. Like, I don’t think she expected to be the Bachelorette, nor did she desire to be the Bachelorette after her season.

“So, this is all kind of a shock, which makes it really fun because it’s kind of, like, watching any one of us that would be placed in this crazy environment. So, I’m really excited for her season,” he told the magazine.

Though Higgins was the leading man three years ago, he does have some advice for the 24-year-old as she navigates her different suitors. And considering he already been through what she’s about to go through, he can certainly speak to it with authority.

“Just be almost unapologetically yourself. She has quirkiness [and] this funny sense of humor. She, like, makes weird facial expressions and says weird things at times. And that’s a really endearing quality that I hope she doesn’t lose.

“[I hope] she doesn’t try to become too much of the model of a Bachelorette and just stays true to herself,” he shared.

Higgins’ advice comes just a couple of weeks after he revealed he wasn’t sure if Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph would make a good couple. Though he had his reservations, the reality star is now on Team Colton and Cassie.

“When I saw the breakup, I was like, ‘This doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t seem right. She’s obviously not that into him. She’s telling him she wants to go home.’ Then I see their story kind of take a turn and for them to come back together and build this relationship that now is existing to this day, and so I’m excited for them.”
