Former Bachelorette star Wells Adams is very happy with his girlfriend Sarah Hyland, but that doesn’t mean they are planning to rush down the aisle.
The couple, who have been together a little more than a year, are content with where their relationship is right now.
In fact, Wells recently told Hollywood Life that they’re both being realistic about their future.
“I think we’re pretty comfortable in where we are right now. I think that we would both feel weird if we were engaged already, like this early into us moving in with one another,” he shared.
“So, I understand the optics of it. Like we do post insanely cute pictures all the time and people think that’s the obvious next step…which it is, but I think that we’re both pretty realistic about the evolution of our relationship and wanting to continue to grow it that way before jumping in to like an early engagement.”
Not to mention, they don’t want to be one of those couples who rush into getting engaged, only for it not to work out.
“There’s been a lot of bad examples of that recently,” Wells shared.
“I think that you need to have a come to Jesus moment with yourself if you really want to be in a relationship.”
He continued, “I think the problem that a lot of people get into, is they think that that’s what they’re supposed to do, but they’re not really emotionally ready.”
Despite not being engaged right at this very moment, Wells has supported Sarah during her very public health battles, so we think it’s safe to say these two are in it for the long haul.
