Former Bachelorette star Josh Murray is not the king of sublety, that’s for sure.
The Bachelor in Paradise alum, who was previously engaged to former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman back in 2014, threw some serious shade her way on Monday.
Ahead of Bachelor Colton Underwood’s premiere, Josh shared a now-deleted photo of himself proposing to Andi on their season finale.
The only catch? He covered Andi’s face with a devil emoji and he made the geotag Hell, Norway.
Shots. Fired.
“Haterz will say it’s photoshopped … hoping the new bachelor comes away with an Angel.#isthisnotfunny #doesanyonehaveasenseofhumorin2019,” he captioned the photo.
Josh took to his Instagram Story on Monday night to address the haters who thought he took the post too far.
“I got hit up with a lot of messages, I haven’t been looking at my social media. Apparently my post made some waves, in a bad way,” he said.
“I just thought it was funny. I thought it was humorous, but apparently it wasn’t very humorous. I guess I’m not very funny.”
He continued, “I was trying to be funny in a half-hearted way, but everybody takes it so seriously and that’s my fault. I should know better.”
He also explained he was going to have to take down the post because of the intense backlash it was garnering.
“So I’m probably going to have to take that down. I’m getting in trouble for it,” he continued.
“A lot of people, at least my friends, are like ‘No, leave it up,’ but I mean if its hurting people’s feelings I don’t ever want to do that.”
Do you think it was right for Josh to take down the post or do you think he should have left it up? Let us know what you think!
