Bachelorette Alum Kaitlyn Bristowe Reveals Shawn Booth Forgot Their Anniversary Last Year

Though Bachelorette couple, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, didn’t officially call it quits on their relationship until last week, it sounds like they were having problems for awhile.

The 33-year-old talked with fellow Bachelor Nation star, Wells Adams, on her Off the Vine podcast earlier this week and revealed Shawn actually forgot their most recent anniversary.

The topic came up after Wells revealed he’s not exactly sure when his anniversary to girlfriend, Sarah Hyland, is.

Kaitlyn explained it was hard for her and Shawn to figure out their exact date too, especially because their relationship formed on television.

“We met and had our first date, but I was also dating multiple men,” she explained.

“So does that count as our anniversary? Or does our anniversary count as the time we got engaged?”

Regardless of the day the couple picked, Shawn accidentally forgot their special day, though he did have a pretty good excuse.

“He actually forgot our anniversary last year,” Kaitlyn shared.

“He was like, ‘To be fair, you had just dumped a guy five minutes before deciding I guess I’ll pick this guy.'”

She continued, “Okay at the end of the day, you forgot our anniversary. You’re being a dick right now. Just own that.”

Kaitlyn and Shawn released a statement confirming their sad breakup to People last week after months of speculation.

“This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends,” the statement said.

“We have both evolved as people, which is taking us in different directions, but with the hope that we will continue to support each other in new ways.”
