Bachelor Star Jade Roper Gets REAL About Her Pregnancy Struggles

Former Bachelor star Jade Roper and her husband Tanner Tolbert are expecting their second child this year, but their road to having another baby wasn’t easy. In fact, the mother of one revealed it took almost a year to get pregnant again.

The Bachelor in Paradise couple welcomed their first child, daughter Emerson Avery, back in August 2017.

While they wanted their kids to be close in age, Jade was hopeful they’d be closer to a year a part.

“We tried for 10 months. I’m a fairly healthy person who got pregnant easily the first time,” she told Yahoo.

“I thought I would get pregnant again right away the second time, but it definitely took time.”

Though it took her some time to get pregnant, it also hasn’t been a very easy pregnancy. In fact, Jade has suffered through a lot of morning sickness.

“The first few weeks were rough. I had a lot of nausea and fatigue, but it’s starting to get better now,” she said.

Now that she’s well into her second trimester, Jade is starting to have a bit of a baby bump.

In fact, she showed off her little bump in an Instagram post she shared on Sunday, February 24.

“There’s finally a little bump coming through! Skipped three weeks of bump updates because honestly this pregnancy has been kicking my butt,” she captioned the photo.

“Little baby Tolbert is a mover and a shaker though, because I’m already feeling him or her moving around with those little flutters. Be still my heart.”

Jade and Tanner are expecting their second child to arrive in August, so there’s a chance baby number two and Emerson may have the same birthday!
