Bachelor Star Bekah Martinez Says She’s “Unprepared” To Have A Baby

Former Bachelor star Bekah Martinez revealed she was expecting her first child last month, but the mama-to-be is getting honest with fans about her pregnancy journey.

The 23-year-old is having a baby with her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, and has been updating fans on her Instagram page.

On Monday, October 29, Bekah explained she only has three months left until her little baby arrives.

“Wrote this in my journal today. It’s dramatic but really how I’ve been feeling,” she wrote on her page.

“Today marks exactly 3 months until my due date. This time has passed by so quickly. On one hand, I feel entirely unprepared and ill-equipped to bring a new life into my world, and yet there is a visceral knowledge that I was made to do this.”

Though she’s anxious about bringing a life into this world, she understands that these feelings are temporary.

“I am reminded of how temporary and fleeting our lives are, and I am comforted to know that these ideas of ‘too young,’ ‘unplanned,’ ‘irresponsible,’ etc. are just ways we try to exert control over an existence that is really so out of our hands.”

Bekah first revealed she’s pregnant in September during an interview with PureWow.

“I was in disbelief and thought, ‘Is this really happening?’” she explained.

“I immediately called Grayston and then went across the street to the Dollar Tree and bought two more pregnancy tests. They, of course, were both positive.”

Though they weren’t planning on getting pregnant, Bekah has always wanted to be a mother.

“It’s the one thing that I’ve known with certainty for so long. I’ve gone back and forth on the idea of marriage and relationships, but I’ve always felt sure that I want to be a mom,” she said.
