Bachelor Star Amanda Stanton Breaks Silence On Breakup

Former Bachelor star Amanda Stanton is finally addressing her split from ex-boyfriend Bobby Jacobs. The couple suddenly split last week and Jacobs confirmed their breakup on Instagram. However, this is the first time the Bachelor in Paradise star has addressed the rumors.

The mother of two took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, April 8 to confirm the news to her fans. “First of all, I want to let y’all know I am totally fine. I wanted to confirm — just because it’s already been confirmed — but I wanted you guys to hear it from me that yes, Bobby and I broke up,” she shared.

“First and foremost, I want to clear the air about my kids. My kids know, no matter what, they are always my number one priority,” she shared. Stanton has two daughters, 7-year-old Kinsley and 5-year-old Charlie, with her ex-husband Nick Buonfiglio.

“Always. I remind them that every single day. They never feel like I’m choosing a guy over them, and that’s the silliest assumption about me that I’ve ever heard. Secondly, I was completely blindsided [by the breakup] and it just happened very suddenly.”

She added, “Before I get into it, Bobby didn’t do anything wrong, so don’t go hating on him for it. Yes, I was surprised, but it’s OK. We had a great relationship, it wasn’t toxic. It was actually the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in. He was my best friend, I was super happy, and that was not fake.”

The 29-year-old and Jacobs had moved into together and were planning on getting engaged and having more children before he decided to call things off. Despite the heartbreak, Stanton is thankful for one thing.

“I’m glad he didn’t waste any more of my time. Me and the girls are going to keep the house we moved into. I just don’t think [this relationship] works out. That’s not something that’s going to happen, and that’s OK.”
