Bachelor Couple Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon on Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth’s Split

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth’s split has been tough for Bachelor Nation fans, but it’s also been emotional for those in the Bachelor family.

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, who are both close with the couple, opened up to E! News about the devastating split.

“We always strived to have their playfulness, it’s just really sad,” Ashley explained.

“Everybody really aspired to be like [Shawn and Kaitlyn]. I think it might be the most heart-wrenching break-up,” Jared shared.

Ashley continued, “There has not been a bachelor couple that we have been so close to, that we’ve been with through the whole process, that have broken up, other than them.”

Jared was on Kaitlyn’s season of The Bachelorette and witnessed her love story with Shawn, so the split is especially sad for him.

“Being on the season, seeing what Shawn went through, the emotional roller coaster and then they finally end up together, you can see how much love they have for one another,” he said.

“It’s hard to see something like that go away, but I wish the best for each one of them.”

Though Jared and Ashley were saddened by the split, it appears other people in Shawn and Kaitlyn’s inner circle were not surprised by the breakup.

“It was not a shock. No one in our circle is surprised by their decision to split,” a source said.

“Kaitlyn and Shawn are great people on their own but you could tell they weren’t going to ever make it down the aisle together.”

The former couple announced their split on Friday, November 2 after months of speculation. Though they’re hoping to stay close, they both want people to move on from their breakup

“She [Kaitlyn] wants this to blow over. Her and Shawn are not on bad terms and it was not a messy breakup,” a source said.

“This has been a long time coming and Kaitlyn has already felt single for months.”
