New Bachelor star Colton Underwood is looking forward to the Fantasy Suites, but not necessarily for the reasons you might expect.
Fans know the 26-year-old is a virgin — or at least he was going into the season — so everyone is anticipating what’s going to go down during those intimate moments in the Suites.
“It’s no surprise to me that people are going to view the Fantasy Suites as this big week for me,” Colton explained to People.
“People are probably going to put a lot of pressure [on it]… but for me, it was more about the private moments.”
Colton first went public with his virginity while on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.
Though he didn’t intend to share that piece of news while on the show, he’s proud that he was honest.
“I had no plans to share that I was a virgin. It was something in the moment with Becca. It was important for her to know,” he explained.

“I didn’t think it was going to be a big deal but obviously, a lot of people latched onto that. It’s a decision I consciously made, but it’s just something that makes me into who I am.”
He continued, “There is a stigma around athletes and I think the more that us as humans can do to break those, the better.”
While some contestants chose to have sex in the Fantasy Suites, Colton was just excited to have a moment alone with some of the women.
“It’s the first time you get to spend with somebody off camera and you can really get to know them and ask the weird questions you might not otherwise,” he said.
“I treat it like another date, an opportunity to get to know someone on an intimate level.”
