Bachelor star Colton Underwood recently opened up about his ex-girlfriend Aly Raisman on the show and whether or not they keep in touch.
The 27-year-old, who dated the Olympic gymnast back in 2016 and 2017, alluded to his past relationship with Aly during a previous episode.
In the episode, Bachelor contestant Caelynn Miller-Keyes revealed she was raped while she was in college.
Following Caelynn’s emotional and moving story, Colton told her that the reason he’s a virgin is because his ex was also a victim of sexual abuse.
For those won’t don’t remember, his ex, Aly Raisman, and hundreds of other women were sexually abused by disgraced former Team USA doctor Larry Nassar.
Though Colton didn’t reference Aly by name in the episode, fans were able to connect the dots.
But, despite showing support for Aly, the former NFL player has not kept in contact with his ex-girlfriend.
“No,” he told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, February 5 when asked if he’s talked with Aly.
“The one thing that I will speak on is Caelynn and how powerful and how strong and brave she is,” he said.
“It still was so emotional for not only me to watch back, but I’m sure for her as well.”
Following her emotional episode last week, Caelynn took to Instagram to thank fans for supporting her.
“I am overwhelmed right now. I am so grateful to Colton for not just listening, but hearing me. I am grateful to everyone at the Bachelor for allowing me to share my story in the way I wanted, and on my own terms,” she shared.
“Most of all, I am truly grateful for everyone who has sent me messages telling me their stories of fear, bravery and strength. The world can be a really dark place sometimes, but these survivors who stand up and speak their truth, they remind me that there is good and light and that everything is not broken.”
