Sometimes you just can’t explain love, folks! Bachelor star Colton Underwood shocked fans this week when he decided to send Caelynn Miller-Keyes home over Cassie Randolph, but the leading man has his reasons.
And, while it may look like he picked Randolph over Miller-Keyes, Underwood just doesn’t see it that way.
“I don’t think that’s a fair question,” he said to Entertainment Tonight when asked why he picked one over the other.
“I think you can ask why Hannah, why Tayshia and why Cassie over Caelynn. One thing that I wish I could have articulated more to Caelynn tonight: it was nothing [about] where our relationship was. It was where the others were.”
Though the 27-year-old knew he had to send Miller-Keyes home, it wasn’t easy at all.
“That was the hardest rose ceremony that I had all season,” he shared.
“That’s one thing that I think people need to realize is when you’re in the relationship, you have to follow your heart and trust your gut as much as possible.”
He continued, “It’s really easy for people to see the outside, but the feeling and the connection and the chemistry is something that’s undeniable. You just have to follow your heart with it.”
Next week Underwood takes his final three women — Randolph, Tayshia Adams, and Hannah Godwin — to the Fantasy Suite dates.
While it’s unclear whether he loses his virginity during these dates, it looks like it’s going to be an emotional roller coaster for all involved.
In fact, this next week is when Underwood finally jumps the fence and quits the show, but only for a little bit.
