Bachelor Ben Higgins Gushes Over His New Relationship

Former Bachelor star Ben Higgins can’t help but gush when it comes to his new girlfriend, Jessica Clarke. Though the reality star decided to wait a few months before going public with their relationship, the 29-year-old is happier than ever in his relationship and is finally ready to talk about it.

Higgins and Clarke actually met through Instagram when he decided to slide into her DMs a few months back, and they have been inseparable ever since.

“She’s just an incredible person. The kindest and empathetic spirit I’ve ever met,” he recently told Us Weekly.

“I’ve always said I like people, but she really likes people. You know, there are moments when I don’t like people and … when I will get down on somebody or down on a relationship or down on a friendship — whatever — she’ll be the one who always encourages me to be better, to do better, and to look at [things from a] different angle.”

Though they are still in a new relationship, Higgins is thankful his lady is there to make him a better person.

“But I need that. I think our biggest points of contention are typically when I’m down and out and bitter, and she’s the one pushing me to just be more about love and more about kindness,” he shared.

“That’s what I’m most attracted to, ‘cause I know that listening to her will always make me a better man.”

While Higgins lives in Denver and Clarke lives in Nashville, they are making their long-distance relationship work.

“Long distance isn’t ideal, I don’t love it. I want to be around her more and we don’t get to be around each other a ton, so that’s not something I want to keep doing,” he said.

“But I think there’s a good compromise, and that’s giving up more of my time to go see her. And I’m ready for that.”
