Bachelor Star Arie Luyendyk Jr. Cried When He Saw Lauren On Their Wedding Day

Bachelor star Arie Luyendyk Jr. couldn’t contain his emotions on his wedding day, but who can blame him?!

The race car driver married Lauren Burnham in Hawaii on Saturday, January 12.

The gorgeous wedding was attended by their close friends and family, which made it extra emotional for the couple.

“I caught a glimpse of [Lauren] in the distance, and I just, I started crying,” he told Us Weekly.

“She looked so stunning — she was everything I could have imagined in that moment.”

For Lauren, who is expecting their first child in June, their nuptials couldn’t have been more perfect.

“Everything that I imagined, it was that and 10 times better,” she said.

Not to mention, Bachelor host Chris Harrison — who officiated the wedding — even shed a few tears.

“I didn’t think I’d get emotional. I usually don’t, but when she started walking down the aisle, it kind of hit me, and I think it’s because we spent this whole week together,” he said.

“Just listening to them and watching them interact with each other and with the families, and time and time again, the same thing is said over and over, and that is they’re perfect together, they fit together, they complement each other, pretty much everybody saying the same thing in a different way.”

He continued, “When you see that and then you see her walking down the aisle, and Arie started getting choked up, and I was like, ‘Oh, crap.’ So I kind of lost it. I was like, ‘I can’t be choked up when I start this wedding. Got to be professional.’”

The couple shared some sweet photos from their special day, with Arie captioning one of the photos, “My best friend, my soul mate and now I can finally call you my wife! I’m so proud to be your husband. Our wedding was unreal, it was everything we could have imagined and more.”
