Bachelor Alum Ashley Iaconetti Planned to Freeze Her Eggs Before Dating Jared Haibon

Former Bachelor star Ashley Iaconetti was thinking about her future in a big way before she started dating Jared Haibon.

Ashley and Jared are now engaged and planning their August 2019 wedding, but less than a year ago the 30-year-old was going to freeze her eggs.

Though the Bachelor in Paradise stars ended up falling in love, Ashley was planning on preparing herself for motherhood in case things didn’t go according to plan.

“I was going to do it for my 30th birthday… I was planning on it. I turned 30 in March,” she said on the Almost Famous podcast.

“I didn’t have to, which was really nice. I saved a lot of money there. But if [Jared] hadn’t come into the picture at that time, I definitely would have.”

And, while they are planning on having children in the future, Ashley thinks they’ll wait to start trying until she’s 32.

“I just know that I want to start trying to have kids at 32,” she told People a while back.

Jared added, “We’re engaged now, so we’ll get to the wedding and then maybe pop out a couple kids!”

As for her upcoming wedding, Ashley — who cried a lot during her time on television — is definitely planning on shedding a few tears on her special day.

“I definitely will be crying through my vows whether I write them or not, but I think the plan right now is that we’re going to write them,” she revealed.

“I have to read from the paper. Who can memorize their own vows and then be up there and be emotional?”

She continued, “I can’t imagine myself being dry-eyed while reading my own vows.”
