Astrid Loch Planning Move to Toronto to Be with Kevin Wendt

Astrid Loch, who fell for Canadian firefighter, Kevin Wendt, on this summer’s Bachelor in Paradise, is planning to move to Toronto to be with her man full-time.

“We’re just going to kind of finish out this year, get through the holidays, and then kind of start looking at when I’ll be moving,” Loch revealed during an interview with Toronto’s CP24.

Loch, who currently resides in Tampa, FL, has been spending a lot of time in the Canadian city since the show wrapped. And, so far, she’s quite taken with it.

“I love it,” she said. “It’s so nice. Everyone is so friendly. It’s so clean here. [Kevin] was at work the other day and I was just kind of roaming around the city by myself… I love it so far.”

That was a key consideration for Wendt, when he initially met Loch.

“The first time we spoke on Paradise, I asked her if she’d ever move, because that’s a big one for me,” recounted Wendt. “I want to know if there’s the potential to move. And she said, ‘Drake’s Tower? I’m in.’ That’s one of the first things she said to me.”

Loch, of course, was referring to the giant Las Vegas CN Tower that the rapper had replicated in Toronto for OVO Fest 2017.

The couple, who have been blissfully happy since they reconciled on the Bachelor in Paradise Reunion Show, after breaking up before the season finale, are enjoying normal life together. In fact, Wendt posted a few pictures of himself and his lady love doing the simplest of everyday tasks, from preparing dinner to heading home after shopping for groceries.

“I feel like when you finish filming you have this in-between period, where it’s a lot of phone calls and texts and Facetime” explained Wendt. “The day I took that photo [of us grocery shopping] was the day of the finale, where we could finally see she was in Toronto. We were walking in front of the metro in Liberty Village. We had bags and I said, ‘This is actually a really cute photo.’”

“So I got a stranger, who knew us right away, [to take it],” continues Wendt. “She was like, ‘Oh my God. This will be your first photo.’ There’s just so much talk about, Is it real, is it fake on TV? I just wanted to say, ‘It’s real.’”
