10 Facts About Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna has been acting for over 30 years and has hustled her way to a starring role on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Though most people know the 55-year-old from shows such as Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, there’s still a lot people don’t know about her! Here are 10 facts about the actress turned reality star.

1. Video girl
At just 22 years old, Rinna was in the music video for John Parr’s song, Naughty Naughty. She played the passenger in the car!

2. Husband’s partner
Rinna married her husband, Harry Hamlin, in 1997, but she has acted alongside him onscreen twice. They were on the show Veronica Mars together and the Lifetime movie, Sex, Lies, & Obsession

3. Michael Bolton’s #1 fan
The mother of two jokingly thanks singer Michael Bolton for her marriage. While Hamlin was married to former Dynasty star, Nicollette Sheridan, she reportedly had an affair with Bolton and left Hamlin for the musician. Because of their split, Hamlin met Rinna and the rest is history!

4. Call her a Disney star
Among her many acting credits includes an appearance on the very popular Hannah Montana. She played Mr. Dontzig’s cousin, Francesca.

5. Live! With Regis and Lisa
Rinna almost landed the role as Kathie Lee Gifford’s replacement on Live! With Regis when they were recasting back in 2000 and 2001. Obviously, the role went to Kelly Ripa instead, but Rinna still guest-hosts every once and a while.

6. Oregon girl
Though she was born in California and has spent much of her adult life in Beverly Hills, Rinna is actually from Medford, Oregon! Her family moved there when she was a little girl for her father’s job.

7. Broadway star
Along with being a television and movie actress, Rina has also taken over the stage. She starred as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago on Broadway in 2009.

8. Store owner
Rinna now has a very popular QVC clothing collection, but before that she was a store owner! In fact, she and her husband owned a clothing boutique called Belle Gray, named after her two daughters. Unfortunately, they had to close its doors in 2012.

9. Pregnant in Playboy
When she was pregnant with her first daughter Delilah Belle back in 1998, Rinna posed nude in Playboy.

10. A Real Housewife
After juggling a number of acting jobs for many years, Rinna decided to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2014, and she hasn’t looked back since, though she has continued to act, including a return to Days of Our Lives as Billie, during that time.
