Whether she is played by Marci Miller or Kate Mansi, Days of Our Lives fans tend to root for Abigail to be reunited with her true love, Chad.
Except Chad (Billy Flynn) hasn’t exactly been lovely – or lovable – lately. First, he couldn’t accept Abigail being pregnant with what he thinks is Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) baby.
Otherwise, he insisted his wife wasn’t guilty for the crimes she committed while under the influence of her Gabby personality.
Then, he did deliver her – also secretly his – daughter, Charlotte. But then he promptly made a deal with Stefan, wherein Chad’s half-brother would have access to the child as long as he had Abigail committed to a psychiatric hospital.

Love Conquers All
Of course, he does, 55% of you hand-wave away anything less than pleasant things that might have happened in the past.
Chad loves Abby, that’s all that matters. Everything he did was for her own good. Besides, he’s being manipulated by that horrible Gabi (Camila Banus).

Poor Chad is an innocent. Like his wife, he shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions as long as there’s someone else to blame.
Take Your Time
Eventually, yes, 28% hedge. But Chad should have to work for it. And wait for it. And suffer. You really need to see him suffer. When Agnes Nixon said, “Make them laugh, make them cry, make them wait,” she obviously had this situation in mind.
Unforgivable, That’s What You Are
And then there’s the minority 17% who believe Chad has crossed the moral event horizon. There’s no coming back from how he treated the woman he supposedly loves. She should never forgive Chad. And Chad should never forgive himself.
