In a stunning storyline turn, Days of Our Lives (DOOL) killed off Daniel in 2016, when the character became the victim of a drunk driving accident.
A Salem mainstay since joining the soap in 2008, Daniel was a central figure at the town hospital, where he thrived as a surgeon.
He was also beloved by his mother Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), godfather Victor (John Aniston) and fiancé Nicole (Arianne Zucker), who all miss him to this day.

Just Bring Back Shawn Christian
Nearly half of DAYS fans, exactly 48%, would welcome the appearance of Daniel’s twin – be it as his actual brother or an intriguing doppelganger.
It would definitely rev up the story possibilities for Maggie and Nicole. Both women would have to come to terms with a lookalike of the man they loved and decide whether to welcome him into their lives or shoo him away because he brings up too many painful memories.

Depends How It’s Done
Some 29% of you aren’t quite sure how you’d feel about a Daniel twin, noting that it would totally depend upon how it’s written.
If the material was poignant, meaty and based in reality, you’d be all for it. However, if it ended being farfetched and convoluted, you’d actually prefer it didn’t happen.
Yes, That Plot Is Overdone
The final 23% had one word to say about this – overdone! You think soaps have gotten too hung up on twin stories, and you’re tired of them.
They rarely work, and the returning characters are rarely as good as the original ones. As much as you love Shawn Christian, you’ve already made peace with his exit.
