We’re not sure why Hope Williams Brady (Hernandez) is doing the things she’s doing on Days of Our Lives, but we’re pretty sure she’s going to regret it.
First of all, why on earth is she listening to that rat bastard of a lawyer, Ted (Gilles Marini), when he said she shouldn’t tell Rafe (Galen Gering) what they’re up to?
His lame reasoning — that Rafe will insist on doing things by the book — is just plain crazy talk and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) should know that! When has Rafe ever done things by the book?
Okay, there was that time he arrested his father Eduardo (A Martinez) — but that’s only ONE time!
What about the year he spent covering up Hope shooting Stefano (Joe Mascolo), even when she thought she killed him. (And, she might have — the plot got awfully convoluted at the end.)
Also, how many times has he covered for Gabi (Camila Banus)? In fact, we bet another Lie For Gabi is coming up.
Hope saying she feels guilty about lying to Rafe isn’t good enough. How many times did she rake him over the coals for not telling her that he slept with Sami (Alison Sweeney) — and they were on a break! Hope knows lies destroy relationships. Why on earth is she listening to Ted?
Rafe may have suggested she not push Ciara (Victoria Konefal) away by being so hard on Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). That wasn’t bad advice. Yes, Ben is a serial killer but nothing Hope says will warn Ciara away from him at this point. She needs to play the long game of keeping Ciara close by not alienating her for dating Ben.
And for Rafe’s attempt at peace, why did he deserve to be shut out? That’s not a great sign for the strength of her marriage. Hope should know better — and she should stop worrying about her daughter’s love life and concentrate on her own.
