Meant To Be: Why DAYS Should Revisit Lucas and Chloe

Could There Be A Future for Lucas and Chloe on Days of Our Lives?
 Comments

Lucas and Chloe are the odd ones out on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) merry-go-round of love.

Lucas’s (Bryan Dattilo) last romance ended in disaster when Adrienne (Judi Evans) dumped him for Justin (Wally Kurth). Meanwhile, lonely Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) was so desperate to connect with a man that she had a fling with the evil Deimos (Vincent Irizarry).

At the moment, the two hapless and formerly married characters are totally unattached. It looks like the perfect time for DAYS to revisit their relationship.

Forever Friends
Although Lucas and Chloe’s split was anything but amicable at the beginning – remember she cheated on him with Daniel (Shawn Christian) – as the years passed Lucas came to forgive Chloe.

She was the person who tried to help Lucas when he turned to the bottle. She was the one Lucas called when he found Anjelica dead in his bed. They are true blue friends, and that’s the foundation of a successful relationship.

Second Time Around
The fact that the twosome was once husband and wife actually works in their favor. They already know everything there is to know about each other — their likes, dislikes, quirks and annoying habits.

They wouldn’t have to endure those awkward first few months that new couples face. Chloe is well aware of Lucas’s faults, and Lucas is well aware of her flaws. They can accept them and move forward.

Family First
Lucas and Chloe also have one major and very important thing in common; their deep love for family, especially, their children. Through all his ups and downs, Lucas has always been there for Will (Chandler Massey), and he let his daughter Ali move away with Sami (Alison Sweeney), knowing it was best for the child.

Meanwhile, single mom Chloe is devoted to her young son Parker. Lucas would be a great father figure for the boy, and Chloe would surely welcome Will, Ali, and Lucas’s darling granddaughter Arianna with open arms. They’d make the perfect blended family.

Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
