Why Carrie Was Glaringly Missing From The ‘Jarlena’ Wedding

Many fans were disheartened to see that Carrie didn’t make it back for John and Marlena’s wedding on Days of Our Lives. Now find out why!

Fans took to social media, angry with The Powers That Be that they wouldn’t have moved heaven and earth to have Carrie attend the remarriage of her former stepmother to the man she once believed to be her father (back when John thought he was actually Roman Brady).

Now, we  know the whole story, thanks to actress Christie Clark taking to Twitter to let everyone know what happened and why she didn’t bring Carrie back to Salem for the big day.

After all, it’s not like this writing team hasn’t already brought her back before. So what gives?

“The fab writers did ask to have me back for this special occasion, but alas I was traveling the world. Hope I’m free for next big occasion!” she shared.

If you follow the beautiful actress on Instagram, you’d know she was in Fiji this week but you can go back and see she truly has been traveling the world for some time now. She’s also been to Australia, Bali, Vietnam, and Japan.

As she travels on the adventure of a lifetime, Salem certainly has missed her. Right now, younger sister Sami (Alison Sweeney) is in big trouble after shooting her mother Marlena (Deidre Hall). She probably could have really used the services of her lawyer sister.

Of course, Belle (Martha Madison) is also a lawyer (how handy of Sami to have two sisters in a profession she needs the help of so often), but considering the slap heard ’round Salem, it doesn’t look like she’d lift a finger to help Sami.
