They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this (thoroughly uninterested) little one grew up to be?
Obviously this young lady (now all grown up) is currently starring on one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not much of a hint.
So try these on for size. She participated in, and won, a beauty pageant competition and she began her professional career with roles in two back-to-back feature films. She also honed her acting skills through participation in a theater program – which she was asked to join due to her “unconventional play watching etiquette.”
But just who can she be? Is this a photograph of Annika Noelle (Hope Logan Spencer, BB), Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady, DAYS), Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks, GH), or Hunter King (Summer Newman, YR)?
Noelle was bitten by the acting bug at a very early age, and she spent her formative years studying the craft and performing at both the Kennedy Center and the Geffen Playhouse.
She began her on-camera career in 2010 with a series of short films (Acts of God, The Perfect Gentleman, It’s Me, and Sweethearts) which she later followed up with roles in films like Jersey Boys and a guest spot on Chasing Life. So, she’s not today’s mystery child.
McCoy’s interest in acting developed while she was attending a theatre camp at the age of 8. Her acting in the retreat’s play netted her an agent and she began appearing in commercials. In 2011, McCoy joined the casts of her first film (Perfect Man) and her first TV production (Scary Tales). Another swing and a miss.
Like McCoy, King was a mere 8 years old when she began acting. And like today’s featured star, her first on-camera role was a feature film – Steven Spielberg’s AI. But King’s next acting job was the science fiction series Rosewell but she has never entered a beauty competition.
According to Konefal, her enrollment in the “Brooklyn Heights Players” came about by less than traditional means. “I ran onstage during their performance of The Hobbit. My mother ran up and had to pull me off.
“The director of that show approached me and my mother after the performance and asked if I wanted to be a part of the company. I’ve been acting and training ever since.”
That training resulted in her landing back-to-back films – Forgetting Sandy Glass (a family drama) and Fog City (a horror picture). In 2015, she was crowned Miss Poland USA. During her reign, Konefal was required to attend various charity events and discuss the Polish Veterans Society.
So, if you hazarded a guess that perhaps the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Victoria Konefal – who has been playing DAYS’ Ciara Alice Brady since December 1, 2017 – then you were absolutely correct!
