Today, a revered writer’s material will begin airing on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and fans can’t wait for the new storylines to start gelling!
If anyone is going to make DAYS the “must-see” era it was when other great scribes have written for the show it’s going to be the Emmy-winning Ron Carlivati.
DAYS — like General Hospital — has a rich, rich history and fans are counting on this writer digging into the show’s past and bringing fan favorites back as he did when he wrote about the characters living in Port Charles.

It’s already been announced that some fan faves from the soap’s past are returning under Carlivati.

Alison Sweeney‘s Sami came in first with a solid 80% of your votes. Ever since Marlena and Roman’s daughter hit the Salem scene as a young teen, the show has never been the same!
Viewers have enjoyed Sami’s journey from manipulative youngster to strong heroine, and it’ll be a treat to see what’s changed and what’s remained the same in her life since her exit from Salem a few years ago.

Where There’s A Will
Chandler Massey, who played Sami’s TV son Will, came in next with 15% of your votes. Actually, it’s Will who got the votes. So fans are hoping that Massey isn’t back as a ghost, a look-alike or a never-seen-before twin (that Sami never knew existed). Let’s hope DAYS has enlisted Massey to play Will and not a doppelganger.

Other vote getters included the characters of Susan (played by Eileen Davidson) with 3% of the vote. The rest of the votes, which amounted to 1% of your suggestions, were for Bo, Theresa, EJ, and Daniel.
While there have been no announcements made for the above four, we can only hope that Carlivati has a plan for these folks to come back.
Wouldn’t it be great to see Bo crash a Hope/Rafe wedding ceremony and for Theresa to return and confess the real reason she left Salem?
One thing’s for sure, DAYS is about to become must-see viewing again with Carlivati at the helm. Anyone who saw his GH run knows he has a great respect for a soap’s history!
