Where’s Jenn? Is Jennifer Needed Back on Days of our Lives?

Jennifer left Days of our Lives most recently to deal with her mother, Laura’s, death. Should she hurry home to Salem, ASAP? What over 2,000 viewers told us they’d like to see happen:

One and Only

Almost half of the fans, 48%, love the idea of a Jennifer return – but only as played by Melissa Reeves. Sure, there have been other Jennifers. There was little girl Jennifer (best known for falling asleep in a random truck and getting lost), Stephanie Cameron who assumed the role briefly in the 1990s, and, most recently, Cady McClain.

But Reeves is the one you watched grow up on the show, the one who fell in love with Jack (Matthew Ashford), and the only one you’re eager to welcome back home.

Return Trip

A slightly smaller 35% of the audience wants Jennifer back by any means necessary. Jack is at loose ends without her, and Abigail (Marci Miller) isn’t exactly bursting with mental health these days. They both need Jennifer to be the voice of reason. That is if she can put aside her own issues with Gwen (Emily O’Brien)…

Missing the Mess

Then again, 13% of you are perfectly fine with her being absent. She’ll likely only make the Gwen/Jack/Abigail situation worse since she agrees with Abigail that Gwen had something to do with Laura’s (Jaime Lyn Bauer) death – and Jack doesn’t need that. Let the newfound sisters handle it amongst themselves with Daddy, then Jennifer can come home to a resolved situation.

Take Two

Finally, 4% are insistent on Cady McClain returning. Her Jennifer brought maturity to the situation, and a fresh take on Jack and Jennifer. Her version was more of an adult, and that is something that her daughter, husband, and newfound stepdaughter desperately need if the situation has any chance of reaching a peaceful conclusion.
