For the week of August 12 – August 16 on Days of Our Lives, spoilers focus on fleeing from a crime, letting go of guilt, and attempting to trigger lost memories.

Hurricane Fiona

The Fiona Era escalates this week (so far, we are loving this character). Xander’s mom is drinking, she’s lying, she’s generally a menace to society. And next week proves just that. Look for Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) to submit to their demons again. Yes, even though Brady spotted his son back in Salem, it hasn’t deterred him from drinking. Do you think he told Tate (Leo Howard) to return to Lacrosse camp so his son wouldn’t be around to witness Brady’s messy era?

Because this era isn’t coming to a conclusion anytime soon, things go from bad to worse when Fiona forces Brady to flee the scene of a crime. Hold up. We have questions. Did they commit this crime? Are they witnesses or the perpetrators? What is the crime? Also, how old are they? The answer to this last question is too mature to be this messy. (Guess who’s returning to DAYS?)

How Convenient

While Gabi (Cherie Jiminez) suffered in prison, Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Ava (Tamara Braun) slept together. Drinks were involved, of course. Nevertheless, they did the deed, and they’ve been feeling uber guilty, especially since Gabi was rightly released from jail. So far, Stefan has admitted to Gabi that he and Ava kissed twice, which is only a half-truth.

But this is Salem, and the truth will be revealed sooner or later. One way is through Cray Cray Connie (Julie Dove). She knows what Stefan and Ava did, and so she can blurt it out anytime. But hear us out. What would be great is if EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) somehow found out the truth, and he was the one to blab all to Gabi just to get back at the couple for betraying him. Until this happens (hopefully), Stefan and Ava conveniently agree to let go of their guilt. They’re in for a rude awakening.

Odds and Ends

This summer, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) embarked on a journey to discover whether or not Abby was alive. The search led them to Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where they found a captive, John (Drake Hogestyn), and then a mystery woman. Said Mystery Woman (AnnaLynne McCord) doesn’t remember who she is, so it’s time for Chad to get to work when he attempts to trigger her memory.

Meanwhile, Jennifer arrives in Salem to get answers. Do we even know what Jennifer knows at this point? Has Jack continued checking in with her while he was away? What kind of answers is she looking for? (Check out what happens on DAYS in our two-week breakdown)

Finally, Melinda (Tina Huang) confides to Ava that Connie is a fraud. Honestly, anybody who talks to Connie should be able to come to the same conclusion. But here we are. What does Ava knowing Connie is a fraud accomplish? Ava will be extra careful of Connie at work? Will she warn Gabi since Connie is her executive assistant? Will Ava find out that Connie knows that Ava and Stefan cheated on her boss? Are we about to get a Salem Stabber vs. Ex-Mafia Princess rivalry?
