Eileen Davidson’s Kristen was last seen plummeting from a window and into a river.
While she was presumed dead, daytime fans know there’s really no such thing in soap land. Yesterday’s goners can easily be resurrected, today. So the prospect of Eileen Davidson returning as Kristen to stir up some trouble is always a possibility.
And with Brady (Eric Martsolf) unattached at the moment, the timing sure seems perfect. Soap Hub posed the scenario of Davidson coming back to the Days of Our Lives role that earned her the 2014 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Here’s what fans think of the idea.
Bring Kristen Home
Eileen Davidson’s mean and manipulative Kristen is sorely missed by 41% of you, who would love to see her back on Days full-time.
When Kirsten is on the canvas, things happen. She drives the action better than any other character and keeps you on the edge of your seat watching her. You’d welcome the actress back with open arms.

She Could Visit
A short tumultuous visit would be fine with 38% of fans, as long as Kristen doesn’t stay in town too long. Her kind of havoc is too much to handle on a daily basis.
Instead, you prefer the character popping in to stir up some action for Brady and turmoil for Marlena (Deidre Hall), before heading out of Salem, again. Kirsten is best being experienced in small doses.
It’s Too Complicated
The remaining 21% are in a bit of a quandary. While you enjoy Davidson’s antics as Kristen, you also love her portrayal of heroine Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless. And you realize that a Kristen return would mean an Ashley exit. It’s impossible for you to choose between the two.
