Wally Kurth wants to set the record straight. There’s some misinformation out there about his status with Days of Our Lives and he wants his followers to know the real scoop.

Wally Kurth: DAYS Status

The actor tweeted out that while he’s continuing to work on DAYS as Justin, he’s actually not back with the show on a contract basis. The show’s entire cast went off contract last November in a cost-saving measure that helped the show financially as it was out of production for part of November, all of December, and all of January.

“For the record,” Kurth tweeted, “and because I believe in truth in journalism, I am actually not back on contract. But I am continuing to work on @nbcdays. Happily.”

Since the show’s official renewal in January, news has leaked out as to who is coming back to Salem and who will be exiting the NBC soap. Galen Gering (Rafe) and Emmy-winners Chandler (Massey) and Freddie Smith (Sonny) have all confirmed their exits.

Additionally, Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) has confirmed reports that she is coming back to DAYS. Kurth tweeted out that Judi Evans, who was tragically killed off as Bonnie last year, will be back on the show. No word on if that means she’ll appear as a vision of Adrienne, a resurrected Adrienne, or her look-a-like Bonnie — or someone else!

In addition to playing Justin, Kurth also plays Ned Quartermaine on General Hospital. The Q’s are one of GH’s core families and Ned and his wife Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) are key players within the wealthy clan.

The DAYS cast changes mentioned in this story won’t kick in until September or later given the show’s advance taping schedule. What’s next for Justin? Stay tuned to find out! Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
