VIDEO FLASHBACK: Remembering Joe Mascolo As Stefano DiMera

It was a year ago this week that the soap world lost one of its brightest lights in Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star, Joe Mascolo. He was bigger than life and so was his uber-villain alter ego, Stefano DiMera.

The actor first joined DAYS back in 1982 and remained on the show even past his death last year due to the fact the show is six months ahead with its shooting schedule.

Stefano loved large (and procreated more than probably any other soap opera character), fought hard, and ruled Salem even when he wasn’t there — he was that powerful.

Take a walk down memory lane and remember some of his greatest moments in and out of Salem as he made the lives of our favorite characters miserable while making ours better for having seen him in action.
