The New Sonny: What He Needs to Do To Get Over Will on Days of Our Lives

Will served him with divorce papers, now Sonny has no choice but to move on — and get over him on Days of Our Lives.

Sure, it won’t be easy. Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) loved Will (Chandler Massey) for years, and he thought they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. But then fate intervened, Will lost all memories of his past, and Sonny was left out in the cold.

So what does Sonny need to do to get over him? Soap Hub has a few ideas, starting with these things.

All Work and No Play
When your love life has crashed and burned, there’s nothing better to divert your feelings of heartache than work.

Sonny needs to put all his attention on Titan and its subsidiaries. He wants to be put in permanent charge of the Kiriakis companies, and this is his chance to prove himself to his Uncle Victor (John Aniston).

With nothing but time on his hands, Sonny can wheel and deal and show what an asset he is to Titan while sticking it to his nemesis, Brady (Eric Martsolf).

Daddy’s Girl
As for his hours away from the office, Sonny should spend all the free time he can with Arianna (Harper and Sydnee Udell). The little girl is, without a doubt, the bright spot in his life.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Arianna idolizes her second daddy, and Sonny should embrace their special relationship. It remains a major source of happiness for Sonny at a time when he really needs something to smile about.

Plus, he might be able to take comfort in the fact that it’s the one good thing left from his failed marriage to Will.

Peace with Paul
Sonny should try to make amends with Paul (Christopher Sean). He needs to seriously apologize for how badly he treated his former fiancé, when Will returned, and try to reconnect with him.

Obviously, Paul probably won’t be receptive to rekindling a romance with Sonny, and who could blame him. However, he might be willing to work on rebuilding their friendship. Sonny could definitely use a good friend right now, and there’s none better than Paul.

Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
